# Background removal (video tutorial)

## Overview

Did you know that a single URL parameter can erase an image's background instantly? This tutorial demonstrates Cloudinary's `e_background_removal` transformation, which uses AI to automatically remove backgrounds from any image, with no manual editing or Photoshop required.

Whether you're preparing product photos for an e-commerce site, creating clean thumbnails, or building image-heavy apps, background removal is just one example of what you can do by editing a Cloudinary delivery URL. ### Selecting an asset
