# How can I cancel or delete my Cloudinary account?


If you would like to cancel your Cloudinary account, you can access your account's settings page and navigate to the "Account" label. Then, choose the **Cancel my account** button.

Once you've canceled your account, you may be surprised to see that you can still log in to the account. Canceling your account isn't the same as deleting it. Canceling your account means putting it in a disabled state. You will no longer be able to upload, store, manage, or deliver assets from the account. The account's assets will be permanently deleted during our regularly scheduled cleanup.

It's not possible for you to delete the account from your end. If you would like the account, all assets, and your personal data to be deleted, open a [support ticket](https://support.cloudinary.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). For account ownership verification, include the product environment name and the last four characters of the **API Secret** in your support request. 

You can find your API Secret by logging into your account and navigating to your **Settings > API Keys** tab. The API secret is masked with asterisks for privacy. To view it, click on the 'eye' icon to the right of the asterisks. After entering your account password, the API Secret will be displayed.
