# Can I delete the "sample" images?


The sample images (including **sample** and **cld-sample** ... **cld-sample-5**) show samples of dynamic and named transformations when you generate them in the [Transformation Builder](image_transformations#transformation_builder) or [Studio](dam_editing_and_transformations#studio). Therefore, these images are automatically re-created if missing.

You can upload an alternative image to the root folder with the same public ID if you want to use a different image for one of the transformation samples.
