Business Development Representative (US)

Cloudinary is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to lead partner recruitment throughout various major markets worldwide. This new role has been created for an ambitious professional with proven success in researching, prospecting and crafting initial outreach among targeted accounts. Your primary metric will be to schedule qualified meetings with senior partner prospects and work closely with our Director of Alliances on achieving meeting objectives.


We’re looking for someone with a hunter attitude who can understand how a market behaves, identify relevant players and take direction as well as have the drive and motivation to work autonomously.


The ideal candidate will combine proven inside sales experience, with a sincere eagerness to grow into a successful career in business development. This could be a career changing opportunity for the right individual.


Responsibilities: 


  • You’ve excelled in your current role and are interested in a career path towards business development + can articulate exactly why this role interests you
  • Your prospecting process is clean, repeatable and validated by metrics
  • You understand and will illustrate the Cloudinary partner value proposition, and how it impacts our customers, company and partners
  • You have examples of excellent written/verbal communication skills in English (additional languages is a plus)
  • You have high energy and integrity, a positive attitude and are fun to work with

About You:


  • 2-5 years experience as successful sales development representative or inside sales representative
  • Previous experience in a Business development function - a plus
  • High daily activity volume with emails / calls into prospective accounts, balanced by great accuracy & quality
  • Acute ability to research and identify target accounts, contacts, and industry trends
  • Effectively position Cloudinary as the thought leader for image and video management
  • Proven expertise with advanced prospecting techniques & tools (i.e. building cadences in SalesLoft, crafting effective & targeted InMails, and other creative techniques)
  • Use Salesforce daily to track, develop and report your work while prospecting partners
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English
  • College degree with excellent educational achievements required
  • Proven ability to excel in “startup” or “entrepreneurial” environment where we are empowered to build and define our path to success
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and efficient at time management
  • Location - Sunnyvale office
