Our mission at Cloudinary is to help companies unleash the full potential of their media to create the most engaging visual experiences. To date, we’ve helped 10,000 customers and created a community of more than one million developers.
While we engage with our community of customers and developers in a variety of ways—through our blog, the Cloudinary Academy, our Partners, or our work through the MACH Alliance—we realize there’s no substitute for meeting face-to-face.
That’s why we decided it was time to hit the road with the Cloudinary EXP event series. The event is a half-day, in-person educational learning experience where customers, partners, and Cloudinary Academy experts gather to create more Cloudinary experts – or EXPerts, if you will.
Curious as to what goes on at a Cloudinary EXP event? Here’s a quick overview of our first one.
In mid-May, we hosted our first stop in New York City. Attendees heard from Cloudinary customers and experts on a wide range of topics. The event opened with a keynote Q&A session between Cloudinary and Bleacher Report, a site dedicated to sports and sports culture, to better understand how one of the Internet’s most popular sports sites successfully delivers content to millions of users daily.
Event attendees could choose to attend in-depth sessions organized by tracks:
- Developer Track: This track featured technical workshops to show how customers have successfully implemented Cloudinary’s APIs and SDKs into their projects.
- No-Code Track: This track catered to folks in non-developer roles. It featured workshops on how to use Cloudinary’s no-code solutions (e.g., Digital Asset Management [DAM], Media Optimizer, Metadata and Image Transformations) to deliver successful campaigns.
The rest of the afternoon featured talks from customers such as Custom Ink, Netlify, Syndigo, and Major League Baseball (MLB). The event concluded with closing remarks and a Cloudinary community happy hour, where attendees and speakers mixed and mingled to share their experiences and learn from one another.
Participants spoke highly about learning Cloudinary’s DAM, metadata, 3D capabilities, and Media Optimizer. Sessions featuring customers’ specific use cases of Cloudinary solutions were also very popular.
We’d like to thank everyone who joined us at the Cloudinary EXP Event in New York City. A special thanks goes out to our customers who came to share their Cloudinary experience onstage.
With so much valuable content in each track, we know it may have been hard to have to choose to attend just one. If you feel like you missed out on something, or you weren’t able to attend, check out the EXP sessions on Cloudinary Academy or YouTube.
Keep your eyes peeled for a Cloudinary EXP Event coming to a location near you. Our event series has only just begun, and we look forward to meeting you in person soon!
