Cloudinary Earns Top-Vendor Honor for Digital Asset Management

Cloudinary Leads in the 2021 Vendor Selection Matrix for DAM

Recently, Cloudinary’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution was named a leader of the top 15 global vendors in the DAM Vendor Selection Matrix™ produced by Research in Action GmbH, excelling in strategy, execution, price versus value, and breadth. The matrix also awarded Cloudinary an outstanding recommendation index of 98%.

Research in Action cites Cloudinary’s strategy as “Dynamic Asset Management,” which enables administration of asset variants and instances at scale through automation and AI. Regarding execution, Research in Action highlights Cloudinary’s robust affiliations with more than 100 partners: Adobe/Magento, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, WordPress.

Among the 1,500 global business and IT decision-makers surveyed by Research In Action, 51% stated that they plan to consolidate their DAM systems. Additionally, the respondents revealed that the factors that influence their DAM buying decisions are better system performance and responsiveness (35%), improved brand-management capabilities (32%), a more captivating customer experience (29%), a mobile-first strategy (27%), and cloud capabilities (21%).

DAM is poised to meet the rising demand for content digitization, effective collaboration of corporate assets, cloud-based delivery options, controlled access, and tighter security. As a result, Research In Action anticipates that DAM systems will expand and morph into universal content hubs for many departments, such as creative, sales, and service, besides IT and marketing.

Peter O’Neill, research director at Research in Action GmbH, had a glowing comment for Cloudinary’s DAM solution: “Cloudinary was born in the cloud and is best suited for businesses that use rich media to drive customer engagement and conversions.”

We will continue to innovate and deliver game-changing AI capabilities so that our customers can automate their tasks to efficiently manage visual assets in today’s media-first digital market.

Here is the complete 2021 Vendor Selection Matrix™ for DAM. Separately, Research in Action GmbH also produced a report that focuses on DAM in the German market.
