We have made several limited updates to our Data Processing Addendum (DPA), which can be found here: https://cloudinary.com/gdpr/dpa.
Most of these changes are introduced to accommodate customers’ feedback, including adding additional clarity regarding data retention periods and notification timelines in the event of a security incident.
These updates are intended to provide greater transparency and clarity and do not materially change the way Cloudinary processes personal data.

We have made some updates in our Terms of Use, primarily to incorporate Cloudinary’s Acceptable Use Policy. This policy outlines the standards and guidelines for using our services and is now a formal part of our Terms.
These updates reflect our commitment to ensuring a secure, transparent and responsible environment for all users and we encourage you to review it and stay informed about your rights and obligations while using our services.

We have updated our privacy policy in light of recent developments in laws and regulations. The main changes focus specifically on provisions under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) which has recently taken effect. The updated policy provides additional details about your rights under the CPRA, and about the use of sensitive personal information. We have also simplified the summary of the policy and have made changes to make it more accessible.
At Cloudinary, we are committed to continue making efforts to be clear about the way we use personal information. As these updates cover regulatory requirements, the updated policy will take effect immediately.

As part of our compliance efforts we have also updated our Trust page, our Cookie Policy and our Data Processing Addendum (including an updated sub-processors list).

We have updated our online Terms of Service to be more accurate and comprehensive.
The most significant change is in regards to the Limitation of Liability section – we’ve made it more specific (e.g including examples for breach of contract) and increased the aggregated liability amount, to the sum of the last 12 months of payments prior to the occurrence of the event which required compensation.
Additional minor changes include acceptable use of service, data warranty and governing law and jurisdiction.
