Studio widget changelog

This changelog covers the new features, enhancements, and fixes of each Studio widget release. To load a specific version, replace latest in the script URL with the version number, for example https://studio-widget.cloudinary.com/1.0.15/all.js. Only the versions listed here are available to load.

• Fix: The widget now works on pages served from localhost with your production credentials. In earlier versions, a page on localhost loaded the widget from a Cloudinary test environment, which didn't recognize your cloud name and API key, so you had to open your app at 127.0.0.1 instead.

• New option: resetState for the show() method. Pass resetState: true to discard the user's saved editing session, for example when reopening the widget for a different asset. See Reopen the widget for a different asset.

• New option: oauthToken constructor option, to authenticate with an OAuth access token instead of an API key. See Using OAuth to access Cloudinary APIs.

• New option: startWithManualCrop feature configuration option, to open the widget in manual crop mode.

Feb-27-2026

The earliest version that's available to load. It includes the core widget API:

• The studioWidget() method, with the cloudName, appendTo, apiKey, iframeAttr, and featureConfig options.
• The show(), hide(), update(), destroy(), on(), and getVersion() instance methods.
• The insert and close events.
