Overview

Sanity is a platform for creating and editing structured digital content in a collaborative environment, then publishing content to marketing sites, e-commerce sites, products and services, and mobile apps.

Use Sanity to:

  • Store content.
  • Edit content using the Sanity Studio content editing interface.
  • Build custom editorial workflows.
  • Share content between systems.
  • Personalize content.
  • Deliver content to any device, application, or channel via a content delivery network (CDN).

The Sanity Plugin provides a way to access the Cloudinary platform from directly inside the Sanity Studio, streamlining the way you insert Cloudinary media assets into your content. You can use powerful Cloudinary features to manage your assets (i.e., uploading and accessing assets, previewing transformations, and tagging, optimizing, and organizing assets) before adding them to your content, all from within a single interface.

With the Sanity Plugin installed, you can benefit from using:

  • The Cloudinary DAM as your single source of truth for storing and collaborating on all of your rich media files. You can share media with other users, apply structured metadata values tailored for your organization's media workflow, and take advantage of advanced AI capabilities that enable automatic tagging, face detection, advanced search capabilities, background removal, and more.

  • Cloudinary's media optimizations, which enable media handling at scale including automatic image and video optimization and fast delivery to every user device and delivery channel.

Note
The Safari browser may require additional steps when logging in to the Media Library. If you encounter an issue, follow the prompts to log in separately and attempt to open the Media Library again. Alternatively, use one of the other recommended browsers when working with Cloudinary.
